Site visit to Google

Five members of our team are part of the ISDCP (Irish School Digital Champions Programme), and are part of the Summerhill teams. As part of this programme we had our pick of tech companies to visit, to learn about jobs in the STEM market

The staff at google gave us a tour of the offices, displaying the working conditions of the outreach & software engineering branches of the company. We were given the opportunity to use 2 of their VR products, the economic google cardboard, and the tilt-brush drawing tool.

We took part in group interviews with the staff members there where we were asked about our individual connections to technology. While in Dublin, we acquired a new component for the cansat, a delivery from ublox software in the form of a new positioning device.
